I really need your help sir.

Dear Sir,

I am Shamim Alavi, the Son of late Dr. Mohamed Alavi, who was
recently murdered in the land dispute crisis in Ivory Coast. My Father
used to live in a town called Chinhoyi located in the heart of Murambinda
about 120km from Abidjan.

The capital city of my country Ivory Coast, Chinhoyi was largely a
peaceful farming area where one can own land and cultivate it if one worked
hard enough. The relative peace existing in Chinhoyi and our lives were
shattered with the beginning of the ruling party sponsored land invasion by
war veterans who we suspected were acting with the backing of the
Government.

My late Father was among the few rich farmers murdered in cold blood
by the agents of the ruling government of Political Robbers.. For this
alleged support and sympathy for the Ivory Coast opposition party Movement
for Democratic change (MDC) controlled by the whites.

Before his death, my Father on one of his many trips abroad he took me to
Accra, Ghana West Africa to deposit a Consignment Truck Box that Contain
the sum of US$16 MILLION (Sixteen Million,United States Dollars) with the
ROYAL TRUST AND FINANCIAL SERVICE in Ghana with the aid of a foreign partner
which i am the nest of kin to my father during the deposited of the box as
if he foresaw the looming danger in Ivory Coast.

I want you to know that i am from a home that can take an advantage
that is why I am reaching you through this means. I want you to kindly
assist me by being my foreign partner and you will also help me invest this
money while i continue my education please get back to me soon.
As all your effort will be rewarded with 25% of the total amount of
fund in the truck box as your share, and 5% will go for any unforeseen
expenses during the course of this transaction and the remaining 70% will be
invested in a profitable business by you and i will also join you as your son
to continue my education in england.

Kindly see attachment to this email you will find all the necessary
document of Deposit including my late father picture and my late mum picture
also.and my International passport for better Identification.
I will need your quick response to my mail to enable me bring to your
notice all the contact information's of the security company where my late
father deposited this huge amount of money in order for you to contact them
and present yourself to them as my late father foreign partner and
beneficiary as this is the agreement that my late father had with them
during the course of Deposit.

He said to them that on no account should they release the truck box
of money to me as the next of kin, except i provide to them with a foreign
partner who will help me to Invest this fund wisely while i continue my
education.

Please i will beg you not to take undue advantage of me when my
inheritance has been delivered to you in your country as my foreign
partner,as i have relied and put all my trust in you because i dont have any
relatives to turn to for help that is why i am contacting you to be my best
of help at this moment of time.

Please I want this correspondence to remain confidential. The
consignment that contains the cash can come to you in your country . as soon
as you receive this proposal, get back to me so that i will give to you all
the contact information's of the security company and what you are going to
tell them as my foreign partner to enable them work with you immediately..

Yours sincerely
Shamim Alavi.

Blacklisted Emails | Email Seal Explained

EMAIL SCAM SAFETY TIPS

Scam tips and understanding scam email.

1. Take caution when you open email attachments, if you don't know the sender, google search or internet search the sending email address first. You can also search for the title of the attachment, also key words found in the scam email like. Such as keywords like names of individuals, phone numbers, the scammers so called place of business, anything is valuable in a scam letter to help identify it

2. Respond to only email addresses you recognize. Contacts that you have used before, although infrequently can at times be hijacked, so take caution even if you know the sender

3. Never give out personal information. If asked for anything other than your name and email address, do not reply. This is a basic rule, if the ask for anything other than what you feel comfortable sharing, don't reply

4. Call before sending information, even if the email looks legit. The number should also be searched or googled before calling. Numbers with a +44 prefix are normally scam numbers. You can also have your service provider search the number as well.

5. Never give out bank account information or any form of identification numbers, Social Security Numbers, or Credit Card numbers. Don't fall for it, never give out a bank number or credit card number, unless your doing direct business with the bank itself, there should be no reason for anyone to ask you to place your numbers in any email

6. Western Union requests are typically fraudulent. A company should be able to use Credit Card services or PayPal Services. Never send money to anyone by wire for a purchase. Even money grams and bank cards are being used as bait, don't fall for these scams!

TIPS FROM THE FBI

Here are some tips you can use to avoid becoming a victim of cyber fraud or email scams:

Do not respond to unsolicited (spam) e-mail.

Do not click on links contained within an unsolicited e-mail.

Be cautious of e-mail claiming to contain pictures in attached files, as the files may contain viruses. Only open attachments from known senders. Virus scan the attachments if possible.

Avoid filling out forms contained in e-mail messages that ask for personal information.

Always compare the link in the e-mail to the link you are actually directed to and determine if they actually match and will lead you to a legitimate site.

Log on directly to the official website for the business identified in the e-mail, instead of "linking" to it from an unsolicited e-mail. If the e-mail appears to be from your bank, credit card issuer, or other company you deal with frequently, your statements or official correspondence from the business will provide the proper contact information.

Contact the actual business that supposedly sent the e-mail to verify if the e-mail is genuine.

To receive the latest information about cyber scams, please go to the FBI website and sign up for e-mail alerts by clicking on one of the red envelopes. If you have received a scam e-mail, please notify the IC3 by filing a complaint at www.IC3.gov.
